The Doi Inthanon 2 Days 1 Night Trekking Tour is one of our recommended Chiang Mai adventures. It combines mountain scenery, forest trails, waterfalls, local villages, cultural encounters, and an overnight stay, offering a meaningful way to discover both the nature and heritage of Northern Thailand.
The first day begins with a scenic drive from Chiang Mai before setting off on foot into the heart of Doi Inthanon's mountain landscape. The trail leads through forests and cultivated hillsides to a peaceful agricultural hill tribe village, where visitors can experience the simple rhythm of rural life and gain an authentic insight into the traditions of Northern Thailand.
Hidden deep within the forest, the Shan village can only be reached on foot, preserving a peaceful way of life that has remained largely unchanged for generations. Here, you'll enjoy a traditional local lunch before continuing your adventure with an elephant ride along natural jungle trails, offering a unique perspective on the landscapes of Doi Inthanon.
After breakfast, the second day continues with a rewarding trek through forest trails, crossing clear mountain streams and following the sounds of flowing rivers to a beautiful jungle waterfall. The route is both refreshing and adventurous, revealing the untouched beauty of Doi Inthanon while offering an unforgettable experience in Northern Thailand's natural wilderness.
The journey concludes with a peaceful bamboo rafting experience along a gentle mountain stream, one of the timeless highlights of trekking in Northern Thailand.
